Khaleda Zia freed

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been freed from jail, where she was imprisoned under fictitious charges by the now-fled dictator Sheikh Hasina.

According to a circular issued by the President's Press Wing on Tuesday afternoon, Khaleda Zia has been released.

On Monday, President Shahabuddin and Army Chief Gen Waqar-Uz-Zaman unanimously decided to release her and allow her to seek advanced medical treatment abroad.
