STV Bayanno makes official debut
Private television channel STV Bayanno Limited has been officially launched, marking its formal entry into Bangladesh's media landscape.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Saturday at the Abdus Salam Hall of the National Press Club in the capital. Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan officially unveiled the channel via a virtual address.
The event drew participation from media and academic personalities, including Abdul Hai Tuhin, Organizing Secretary of Dhaka Reporters Unity; Anwar Hossain Akash, Editor of Dainik Swadhin Sangbad; Nuruzzaman Hossain Farabi, Assistant Director of Uttara University; and Taizul Islam Sagar, Managing Director of STV Bayanno.
Dhaka University Professor Dr. Sukomal Barua also joined the event virtually.
The program was moderated by journalist Shahidul Islam Khokon, and featured remarks from several prominent figures, including journalist and rights activist Milon Mallik; Borhan Uddin Dalim, President of Matlab Uttar Press Club and Editor of Priyo Chandpur; and Md. Faruk Hossain, President of Matlab Uttar Upazila Press Club and Dainik Jugantor correspondent.
Nazrul Islam Sanchi, Special Correspondent of STV Bayanno, delivered the welcome address.
The channel aims to offer fresh perspectives and credible journalism amid a rapidly evolving media environment in Bangladesh.
